Dr. Awawu E. Igbinadolor is a highly accomplished Principal Investigator with broad experience across internal medicine clinical trials. At Monroe Biomedical Research, she has led studies across respiratory disease, diabetes, hypertension, Alzheimer’s disease, and COVID-19 research. She has completed more than 100 trials across diverse therapeutic areas and is experienced with first-in-human, dose-escalation, SAD/MAD, crossover, and adaptive designs in early Phase 1 trials. Dr. Igbinadolor is a strong fit for general medicine trials, with deep experience in cardiometabolic, endocrine, respiratory, infectious disease, vaccine, and early-phase studies.

Claire Presswood, MD, is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, and Principal Investigator with years of clinical trial experience. She has been an investigator on over 100 clinical trials, with research interests in obesity, diabetes, post-bariatric hypoglycemia, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular outcomes, MASH, vaccines, devices, healthy participant studies, and Phase 1-3 clinical trials.

Gregory Feldman, MD, is a triple-board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Critical Care, and Pulmonology, with more than 30 years of experience working with pulmonary patients in clinical trials. Since 2007, he has completed more than 200 studies, with particular depth in respiratory, vaccine, and cardiometabolic research. He leads MBR Charleston as Principal Investigator and is a standout respiratory and pulmonology investigator.

Harold Bays, MD, FOMA, FTOS, FACC, FNLA, FASPC, has served as Principal Investigator for more than 700 clinical trials of metabolic therapeutic interventions and is one of the strongest scientific differentiators across the MBR network. Hae was Medical Director and President of the Louisville Metabolic and Atherosclerosis Research Center, Inc. (L-MARC), which was acquired by MBR in 2025. He is a nationally recognized investigator for obesity, endocrinology, lipid disorders, cardiometabolic disease, and MASH/MASLD research.

Keith Horvath, MD, is an investigator with Monroe Biomedical Research in North Charleston, South Carolina. A board-certified surgeon with specialty training in cardiothoracic surgery, Dr. Horvath has decades of experience in cardiac and thoracic care, academic medicine, and clinical research. He earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed surgical training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, with additional research training at Massachusetts General Hospital. His research background spans cardiovascular surgery, valve disease, CABG, atrial fibrillation, transfusion practices, renal protection, neuroprotection, and cardiac surgery outcomes. At MBR, he supports clinical research with a strong foundation in surgical expertise, patient care, and evidence-based medicine.

Dr. Rasheed Onafuye is a psychiatrist and clinical researcher with extensive experience caring for adults with complex mental health, sleep, and metabolic conditions. At Monroe Biomedical Research, he serves as Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator for trials. He is a key investigator for psychiatry, sleep medicine, addiction, CNS, and controlled-substance studies, and also supports obesity and chronic weight management research.
